2. Definitions
- The game: the Memory Maze application on Android and iOS, together with all accompanying server services.
- The publisher: RiseByte Technology Company Limited.
- Player: an individual using the game, including one who has not signed in.
- Account: a player record on the publisher's servers, created when the player signs in with a Google, Apple or Facebook account and completes the player registration described in section 3.
- Guardian: the parent or legal guardian of a player under 18.
- Coins: the single virtual currency in the game, earned only through play and spent on outfits for the character and on energy refills.
- Energy: the account's pacing points, up to 10, of which each entry into a maze uses 1; 1 point regenerates every 15 minutes, free of charge.
- Virtual items: decorative outfits for the character and energy refills, bought with coins.
3. Player accounts
- Players sign in with an existing Google, Apple or Facebook account. The publisher does not create a separate password and does not store any password held by those providers.
- As required by Vietnamese law on the management of online games, when creating an account the player must provide complete and accurate details: full name; date of birth; and a Vietnamese mobile phone number. The account is activated only once the phone number has been verified with a one-time code.
- Players under 16: a parent or legal guardian registers the account using the guardian's own details, enters the child's date of birth, and is responsible for supervising and managing the child's playtime and content.
- An account may be linked to several sign-in methods. Where an identity conflict is detected, the game shows a side-by-side comparison for the player to choose from; the publisher never merges or overwrites data automatically.
- Players are responsible for the security of their own device, sign-in credentials and one-time codes. Any activity arising from an account is treated as the player's own.
- An account is personal property tied to the player and may not be sold, rented, lent or transferred in any form.
- Players may request deletion of their account at any time. The request takes effect after a 7-day grace period, during which the player can cancel it simply by signing in again.
4. Player conduct
While using the game, players must not:
- Use cheating software, input automation tools, memory injection or any modification of game data;
- Exploit technical faults for gain. On discovering a fault, players are expected to report it to the publisher;
- Attack, scan, overload or gain unauthorised access to the server systems;
- Copy, redistribute, reverse-engineer or create derivative works from the game without the publisher's written consent;
- Give false information when registering — name, date of birth, phone number or guardian details — in order to evade playtime management rules. Doing so may also attract an administrative penalty under Vietnamese law.
5. Virtual items and coins
- Coins are earned only through play: picked up inside mazes, awarded the first time a maze is cleared with 3 stars, awarded the first time a stage is completed, and paid on completing daily quests.
- The publisher does not sell coins and does not sell any virtual item for real money. The game contains no advertising, no loot boxes and no premium currency.
- Coins and virtual items cannot be converted into money, vouchers or goods and cannot be bought, sold or traded between players.
- Outfits change only the character's appearance and affect no gameplay value whatsoever. An energy refill only restores energy points for further runs; it does not alter the rules, time limit, visibility or route of any maze.
4a. Energy regenerates free of charge. The publisher does not sell energy for real money and places no advertising to refill it. The energy point of a run that is abandoned, or interrupted by a loss of connection lasting more than 60 seconds, is returned to the account.
- A purchased item cannot be bought again, resold or refunded, except where a technical fault on the publisher's side is verified.
- Each maze pays its coin reward exactly once in the lifetime of an account. Replaying a maze that has already paid out works normally but awards no further coins.
- If the service is discontinued, coins and virtual items in an account cease to be usable. The publisher will give notice in accordance with section 9 below.
6. Playtime management for players under 18
In accordance with Vietnamese law on the management of online games, the following applies to accounts of players under 18 (by registered date of birth) playing in Vietnam:
| Continuous playtime in a single session | No more than 60 minutes |
|---|---|
| Total playtime in a single day | No more than 180 minutes |
| Frequency of the health notice | Every 30 minutes of play |
Playtime is counted by the publisher's servers; the application on the player's device does not compute it and cannot interfere with it. The daily counter resets at 00:00 Vietnam time.
The date of birth used for these limits is the one registered under section 3 — entered by the player, or by the guardian for a player under 16. A date of birth can be set only once; changing it requires contacting the support hotline with valid supporting grounds.
Guardians may contact the hotline to request help supervising or limiting the playtime of the person in their care.
7. Intellectual property
All source code, images, audio, level design, characters, icons, names and logos of Memory Maze are owned by RiseByte Technology Company Limited or lawfully used by it.
Players are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence for the sole purpose of playing the game. Any commercial exploitation without written consent is prohibited.
8. Enforcement
Depending on the nature and severity of a breach, the publisher may apply one of the following:
- An in-game warning;
- Recovery of coins or items obtained through the breach;
- Temporary suspension of the account;
- Permanent closure of the account for serious or repeated breaches.
Every enforcement decision is communicated to the player with its reasons. Players may appeal under section 10.
9. Changes, suspension and termination of the service
- The publisher may update content, rebalance difficulty, and add or remove levels and items in order to improve the experience.
- Scheduled maintenance is announced at least 24 hours in advance on the game's official website. Emergency maintenance caused by a technical incident is announced as soon as possible.
- Should the service be discontinued, the publisher will give at least 90 days' notice on the official website and in the game, and will report to the competent state authority as required.
- Virtual items removed during an update do not affect a player's other items; the character reverts to the default outfit.
10. Complaints and dispute resolution
- Complaints may be sent to the hotline on 0369 091 908 or to the support email risebyte@techlonogy.com.
- The publisher will receive, verify and respond within 15 working days of receiving the complaint.
- Disputes are to be settled by negotiation wherever possible. Failing that, they are referred to a competent court in Vietnam and settled under Vietnamese law.
11. Limitation of liability
The publisher is not liable for loss arising from:
- A player disclosing or sharing their own sign-in credentials with someone else;
- Failures of the player's connection, device or operating system;
- Events of force majeure as defined by law;
- A player's own breach of these terms.
12. Amendments
The publisher may amend these terms to reflect changes to the product or to the law. Any amendment is published on the official website at least 7 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use the game after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the amendment.
